A photograph of the Silent Service monument located at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, N.Y. The inscription on the monument says "'The Silent Service' - this monument is dedicated to the memory of all those who served our country in the United States Submarine Service and to those who made the supreme sacrifice to preserve American freedom. Their legacy will live on in future generations." The monument was presented by the United States Submarine Veterans Long Island Base, May 30, 2001.
