Business note from Obe[diah?] Jackson to Joseph Birdsall. In the note, Jackson requests that Birdsall "let the barer [sic] James Dobbin have cloth for shirt and trousers and some tobaco [sic] on my account and youl [sic] oblige your friend." the location at the top of the note is Great Neck South. Note: Birdsall owned a general store in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. He was also a surveyor, a partner in a grist mill, a teacher in the Jerusalem school, and a lieutenant in the loyalist militia.
