Receipts
Receipt for payment of $52.80 made by Mr. Garner [would most likely have been John B. or William Garner, Sr.] to Monfort, Powell & Bro., Brick Manufacturers, at Mineola, N.Y. The payment was for purchases totaling 4, 800 bricks. Note: William and John B. were sons of John Garner (?-1833) and Sarah Birdsall (1790-1836). They were farmers in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. John B. Garner also appeared to have continued operating John C. Birdsall’s general store after Birdsall's death.
