Carved on the tombstone was a violin with the bridge let down, above which was the inscription: “Entirely Tone-Less.” Beneath the violin was Clapp’s epitaph, which was written by Micah Hawkins and published by J.J. Heatley of Smithtown. Printed text on verso includes epitaph and a few other brief details. Note: In 2000, the Suffolk Museum was renamed the Long Island Museum of American Art, History, and Carriages, which is commonly known as the Long Island Museum (LIM). (Color)]]></dcterms:description>
