[Gardner was an alternate spelling for &quot;Garner.&quot;] Note: William and John B. were sons of John Garner (?-1833) and Sarah Birdsall (1790-1836). They were farmers in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. John B. Garner also appeared to have continued operating John C. Birdsall’s general store after Birdsall&#039;s death.]]></dcterms:description>
