The plane, which was piloted by 1st. Lt. Daniel R.A. Duncan, crashed into the two houses shortly after takeoff from Mitchel Field. Duncan was killed in the crash and the Fixler’s house was destroyed; the Briggs’ house suffered extensive damage.]]></dcterms:description>
