Many different postcard printers, including German printers, who dominated the postcard printing market up until the outbreak of World War I, are represented in the collection. All postcards in the collection were published in either sepia tone, color or black and white (B&W). Description An account of the resource Saddle Rock Grist Mill is a historic grist mill building located in Saddle Rock, a village in the town of North Hempstead. It dates to the 18th century and is the only operating tidal grist mill on Long Island. The building underwent restoration in the 1950s and is now a local history museum. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
