Birdsall & Jackson receipt for two pounds and eight shillings for purchase of dry-goods from Mott & Williams, a New York City merchant company. Purchase included tobacco, starch, and bag of shot. Note: Birdsall & Jackson was a general store in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. It was operated by John C. Birdsall and Micah Jackson.
