Promise to pay note in the amount of six pounds, sixteen shillings, and nine pence, twenty-one dollars and six cents from Richard Sands, of Oyster Bay, to Birdsall & Jackson. Birdsall & Jackson was a general store in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. It was operated by John C. Birdsall and Micah Jackson.
