Description

Business note from Zebulon Seaman to Joseph "Burdshel" (alternate spelling of "Birdsall"). In the note, Seaman requests that Birdsall "let James Berey have two pounds of shot and I will see you paid from me.) Note: Birdsall owned a general store in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. He was also a surveyor, a partner in a grist mill, a teacher in the Jerusalem school, and a lieutenant in the loyalist militia.
