Description

Business note from David Jones to Joseph Birdsal (alternate spelling of "Birdsall"). In the note, Jones requests that Birdsall send him "two Sticks of Mohair as nigh this Patern as you can and one Ounce of Indigo." Note: Birdsall owned a general store in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. He was also a surveyor, a partner in a grist mill, a teacher in the Jerusalem school, and a lieutenant in the loyalist militia.
