Description
Business note stating that "Richard Jackson remains in debt on behalf of his father Deceased the sum of £ 2-2-6 - [two pounds, 2 shillings, 6 pence] Which is the equal half Due to Joseph Birdsall. Note: Birdsall owned a general store in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. He was also a surveyor, a partner in a grist mill, a teacher in the Jerusalem school, and a lieutenant in the loyalist militia.
