Description
Receipt for payment of $5.95 made by John B. Garner to Elbert Verity. The payment was for the purchases of pine boards, railings, and pickets. The location written at the top of the receipt is Atlanticville (present-day Seaford, N.Y.). Note: Garner was a son of John Garner (?-1833) and Sarah Birdsall (1790-1836). He lived in Jerusalem, which for a time was known as Ridgewood, and which is present-day Wantagh).
