Receipt for payment of $63.81 made by William Garner, Sr., to E. H. Walters, Dealer in Dry Goods, Hardware, Groceries, Drugs, Boots and Shoes, Feed and Grain, at Smithville South, which was previously Smithville and is present-day North Bellmore, N.Y. The payment was for the purchase of guano. Note: Garner was a son of John Garner (?-1833) and Sarah Birdsall (1790-1836). He was a farmer and resided in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y.
