Harry Brown, Photographer
Harry Brown (1902-1956) was an independent photographer in New York City between the 1920s and 1930s. Photography was originally only a hobby for him, but during the war, he became a taxi driver and started making a living with his photos. Along with his own, he collected other commercial photographs in order to outsource them to news and media outlets. His studio was located at 228 East 41st St, New York, NY. He was married to Louise Brown, and had three children Harry Jr, Lillian, and Louis.
