Description

Quitclaim deed from John Pratt to Joseph Birdsall, both of Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. The deed concerns a parcel of land known as Seamans Neck. Note: Birdsall owned a general store in Jerusalem, and he was was also a surveyor, a partner in a grist mill, a teacher in the Jerusalem school, and a lieutenant in the loyalist militia.
