Description

Quitclaim deed from Samuel Seaman to Joseph Birdsall, both of Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh). The deed concerned two parcels of land and a patent granted to John Jackson, Thomas Allen, and Seaman, who was the only surviving patentee. Note: Birdsall owned a general store, and he was also a surveyor, a partner in a grist mill, a teacher in the Jerusalem school, and a lieutenant in the loyalist militia.
