Description
Indenture (business note) between Joseph Birdsall and his son John C. Birdsall and Oliver Birdsall, all three of Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), Town of Hempstead, N.Y. Under the terms of the indenture, Joseph and John C. Birdsall became indebted to Oliver Birdsall for a loan of two hundred and fifty dollars, with a penal amount set at five hundred dollars. Recordings of interest payments made in 1807 and 1808 appear on the verso. Note: Joseph and John C. Birdsall owned a general store in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y.
