Description

A letter from Henry Haydock, of New York City, to Joseph Birdsall concerning a sum of money that Birdsall owed to him. In the letter, he threatens to take action if he does not receive payment by the middle of the month. Note: Birdsall owned a general store in Jerusalem (present-day Wantagh), N.Y. He was also a surveyor, a partner in a grist mill, a teacher in the Jerusalem school, and a lieutenant in the loyalist militia.
