The Unisphere! The Lights! The Magic! The sights and sounds of the 1964 New York World's Fair captivated the imaginations of children from all over the globe. This souvenir book by Mary Pillsbury tells the story of Peter and Wendy, two lucky American school children who experience the World's Fair with their parents for the very first time. Leaving no stone unturned, the enthusiastic children explore the New York State Pavilion, the Ford Motor Company Pavilion, and the international exhibits. They are perhaps one of the first young riders of Walt Disney's "It's a Small World," after which they both emerge with a better appreciation of the Fair's message, "Peace Through Understanding."
