Creativity, innovation, and originality were embodied in every facet of 1960s America. The New York World's Fair was no different, as it showcased innumerous inventions and creations from both the United States and around the world. This expertly carved wooden bowl displays some highlights from the fair, including the ever-present Unisphere, the monorail, the dazzling Electric Power and Lights Show, the Swiss Sky Ride, the Heliport, and the Federal Building. All portray the feeling of modernization and vision that the World's Fair hoped to use to unite a disparate and complicated global society.
