1964 World's Fair License Plates

Driving to the 1964 New York World's Fair was a privilege for Long Islanders, who saw coming to the fair as a rite of passage. These collectable license plates demonstrate a personal connection between the World's Fair and travelers. Visitors could take the Unisphere with them, as well as the motto "Peace Through Understanding."
